Jim’s success in launching 11 diverse businesses in multiple regions has earned him recognition from the State of Colorado and nomination for Merrill Lynch’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Texan by birth, he earned his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston before joining Texas Instruments and Collins Radio as a manager for classified thermal control and heat transfer programs. Subsequent endeavors included start-up-to-sale guidance of companies producing core memory products, medical electronics and custom power solutions. Prior to its private equity sale in 2007, Martin’s international enterprise ElectriTek-AVT, Inc. was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. He currently serves as vice-president of MarTek, Inc., a business coaching and consulting service.
A native of Minnesota and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Security Service, Mithuen earned his BS in Accounting with honors from Metropolitan State College. He joined two other young CPAs to found Levine, Hughes and Mithuen, Inc., a firm that would become one of Colorado’s top 10 local accounting practices over the next three decades. In 2006, the firm merged with nationally ranked Clifton Gunderson, LLP. There, Mithuen served as Senior Tax Partner, specializing in business consulting and tax/accounting services for privately owned businesses and high net worth individuals. Active with the American and Colorado Societies of CPAs, Mithuen received the latter’s “Everyday Hero Award” in recognition of his board leadership and community involvement.
Richard is an operations leader with over 30 years of senior management-level manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, customer service and business-building experience. Hawes has held top-level operations management positions at such nationally-recognized companies such as; The Washington Post and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, managing multiple production and distribution facilities with hundreds of employees. Hawes has also worked as a business consultant with FTI Consulting and AECOM serving well-known clients such as Harley-Davidson. A native of Virginia, Richard holds a BS degree in Business Administration and an MBA degree, both from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. In his spare time, Hawes is a committee member of Blue Star Connection, a Colorado-based non-profit that provides musical instruments, free-of-charge, to children and young adults battling serious illnesses and other life-challenges throughout the United States and in a number of foreign countries. Blue Star Connection has also established music therapy programs in over 40 children's hospitals, to-date, throughout the United States.
Jerrod brings a very diverse background and a valuable skill set to the UVAIRx team. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in architecture. He has worked as a designer where he obtained a solid hands on background in CAD software. Jerrod is also an artist and a photographer and uses his unlimited imagination to derive unique solutions to complex problems. He has been in the education industry which is where he learned his great communication skills. Jerrod grew up the son of a licensed electrician who has his own machine shop and learned how to analyze and build various electromechanical devices. His experience instilled in him a passion for craftsmanship and design, that along with his active imagination has fueled his career. Jerrod is a hands on engineer that never ceases to explore and learn. As Engineering Manager, his very diverse background has made him an immensely valuable part of the UVAIRx fast-paced development team, whose mantra perfectly describes him: Imagination – Technology – Innovation. Jerrod is a very active part of the community, being on staff at Calvary Chapel Cherry Creek as the Youth Leader.
Holman brings more than a decade of specialized IT communication, accounting and data management systems experience to the UVAIRx team. His online and onsite consulting expertise spans governmental, commercial, financial and high-tech sectors. Highlights include a multi-year project development/implementation/training project with the Denver District Attorney’s office as it created an integrated victim information system for 16 independent agencies with Department of Justice funding. For Carmel Companies, Holman designed and deployed a WAN/VPN network covering seven states and 45 locations, upgraded their accounting system for seamless data entry and retrieval, and integrated multiple IT systems upon the company’s merger. Other long-term relationships have benefited Integra Engineering, ElectriTek/AVT, Nexergy and the Denver CPA firm of Bauerle and Company, P.C.
